Principal Karen Dunford is a bookkeeper with 10years + experience, starting with working in and managing her own business. She loves to help business owners grow their business, freeing them from the shackles of administration so they can focus on their business goals and gain financial clarity.
At KD Bookworks we understand the obligations and responsibilities of small business owners and we’re well-versed in a variety of bookkeeping and accounting tools. We are passionate about helping entrepreneurs to get on top their accounting and pay-roll and to be more tax-efficient with improved systems.

Karen’s experience comes from running an agricultural workshop and retail shop for over ten years with 5 staff employees. Being a business owner comes with a huge learning curve but to be in the driving seat of her financial future, while achieving work/life business was at the same time a hugely enjoyable experience. This business was sold and is still operating with new owners to this day. This business progressed from a Sole Trader business to become a Limited Company with a trust and investment properties so Karen became well versed in accounting business and government obligations and working with lawyers, accountants and mentors.
After a few years break in 2018 Karen started her next business chapter with KD Bookworks. For Karen it is a real pleasure to work with motivated clients who are interested in growing their business.

Old ways of accounting and bookkeeping are changing and technology has been a game changer for bookkeeping.
